We rent a bus for 20 seaters to pahang through an travel agency in larkin. We paid 50% one month before departure. On the 4/12, the bus company we hired told us to wait 2 hours later as there is a heavy traffic jam in jb. So we waited from 8 pm to 10 pm but still the chartered bus did not arrive. Later the bus agency that the charter bus we hired from not coming. It was then 12 midnight. If we insist we have to pay balance of 50% with additional last minute payment of rm 700. We are left with less than 10 hrs to reach our hometown. Finally the bus arrive in at 4 am the next day. From CIQ @jb we waited from 04/12 8 pm till 4 am the next am. Later at yong peng bus depot we told to alight and take another bus. The bus they gave us is indeed in a very bad condition. We paid for the whole trip package but was told later than its a one trip only. We need to pay another rm 2000 for the next trip back. Help?? There are 20 of us with small children on board. We already paid 50% upfront. Balance on 05/12 4 am. Now another rm 2000 or take risk of no transportation home from pahang. We decided to turn back to larkin. The whole bus. Cancelled the whole trip & demand the refund but the travel agency refused our request. What should we do? We are all Singaporean who wanted to go home stay at our parent house to celebrate hari raya haji there. A trip went wrong. Can your side advise us on what right as a tourist to visit your beautiful country do? We have not able to get our refund in full by the travel agency. The whole trip was cancelled. No bus charter as promised. Are we not entitled to anything and lost all our deposit?? Please i seek your advice, sir.
So sorry to hear of your troubles with the bus services you got. I can only suggest you make a police report about the event then contact the consumer rights office to make your complaint and maybe take the company to a tribunal to get all your money back. the following website will help you with this.
Good luck – let us know how you got on.
